Educational Aspects of Syl-la-bles 

• Improves vocabulary 
• Each turn allows the player to spell a new word from their own vocabulary
• Spelling Bee and Thesaurus cards help players learn synonyms and spelling 
• Since each player must select a word starting with the letter they land on, it challenges them to expand their vocabulary to score points 
• Promotes interaction 
• Recommended for groups of 2 - 8 players 
• All players are involved in every round 
• Every player is involved at all times as they must proof read the words to ensure the spelling is correct 
• Encourages higher level thinking 
• An effective strategy is to select words that players know they can spell correctly, AND that will score the most points.
